My work delves into the profound, often invisible, impact of material conditions on the individual's psyche, forging the very architecture of identity - a sense of being. i explore how the tangible world - the environments we inhabit, the resources we access (or are denied), and the systems of production we are embedded within - do not merely exist around us, but actively shapes us.

Through my lens, i aim to explore the subtle and overt ways in which economic realities, technological landscapes, and social institutions sculpt our aspirations, anxieties, and our very self-perception. i seek to capture the residues of the struggle, the privileges, and the weight of inherited conditions, that defines an existence.

Each image is a dialogue between the internal world of feeling and the external pressures of being, illustrating how the concrete realities of life - from the access to basic necessities of life to the marketplace created by digital connectivity - do not just shape our experiences, but fundamentally compose who we believe ourselves to be.

This process is one that uncovers the "material echoes" within the human unconscious, making visible the often-unspoken narratives written in our surroundings. i strive to evoke the tension between individual agency and systemic constraint, showing that identity is not a solitary creation, but a complex, mediated space where the self constantly interacts with, resists, and is re/formed by the relentless press of its material world.

While reifying my sense of being, in the form of photographic image, i am borrowing the format from Raymond Williams' seminal work, Keywords: A Vocabulary of Culture and Society  (1983), that provides a crucial lens through which we can understand how language shapes our sense of reality. The meanings we ascribe to these words become the lens through which we view the world, constructing our assumptions, beliefs, and values.
